Welcome to The Blue Mountain Snow School.
Make the most of your on-hill experience with
the Blue Mountain Ski & Snowboard School and
Racing Programs. Our Discover Skiing &
Snowboarding Circuit is a personal, flexible,
learn-at-your-own-pace program offering a great
introduction to skiing and snowboarding. From
there, get to know more of the mountain with a
Full Mountain Experience lesson.
While you enjoy your time on the hill, let us
entertain your children in our exclusive Kids at
Blue environment located at South Base Lodge.
With programs for children aged 18 months to 12
years, we keep kids active all day long — on the
hill or off!
Feel the need for speed or looking to develop
your skills in the park? Jozo Weider Racing has
programs for children and adults in recreational
or competitive racing and we also offer great
Park & Pipe programs. This season welcomes
changes to the South Base Lodge learning centre
with a new magic carpet and the addition of more
beginner terrain, making the Discover Skiing &
Snowboarding Circuit an even better introduction
to the sport.

MEET GORD LAYHEW
Ski Instructor
Gord began his ski-instruction
career in 1965. He joined the Ernie
McCulloch Ski School at Blue
Mountain in 1971 and has been with
us ever since. In 1972 Gord began
working with the Canadian
Association of Disabled Skiing as a
volunteer instructor and member of
their Technical Committee. Gord is a
CSIA Level II Ski Instructor, CSCF
Level II Coach and a Level III CADS
Examiner. In 2008 Gord was inducted
into the Ontario CSIA Hall of Fame.
