A Blue Mountain Winter
Make it your dream vacation! The best way to enjoy an
Ontario winter is to get out and play! Whether you crave an adrenaline
filled day on the slopes or a relaxing stroll through a welcoming
Village, Blue Mountain is the place to be this winter. Blue has
evolved into Ontario’s premiere four-season playground. This winter
enjoy thirty-four trails, ranging from beginner to double black
diamond, stretching across the scenic Niagara Escarpment, and reaching
720 vertical feet. You’ll maximize your on-snow time with 13 lifts,
including four high-speed six-person chairs. And there’s plenty of
action after the sun sets, with 22 trails and 10 lifts under the
lights.
Need to brush up on your skills? More than 300 pros are ready to help
you at Blue Mountain Snow School’s two learning centres. If it’s
freestyle terrain you’re after, Blue Mountain’s three freestyle zones,
including the Terrain Park, deliver the full range of features, from
super-pipes to beginner rails. If you’re looking for winter adventure,
it’s all here. Off the slopes, you’ll love the warmth of the Village
at Blue Mountain, where friends and families gather for good times and
build life-long memories. Here, you can kick back in our luxury

Mountain Chalets. Tickets for day and afternoon skiing can be purchased
from 7:30am onwards.
Blue Mountain Chalets can offer guests a Blue Mountain
skiing experience that is second to none. Blue Mountain Resort features
3 base lodges, 34 trails, 12 lifts - including 3 six pack speed chairs and
a quad lift, 3 half pipes 3 terrain parks, 2 beginner areas, and state of
the art snowmaking.

Blue Mountain Resort runs a variety of ski programs
that cater to both beginner and novice Skiers and Snowboarders. Programs
run daily for both children and adults. The instructors at Blue Mountain
are there to help. Group and private lessons are held hourly.

hills like the locals here is an inside tip. Badlands Terrain. Whether it's
snowboarding, free skiing or just hanging out with friends, Badlands Terrain
Park is your home base!
Badlands Terrain Park boasts not one but TWO SUPER-PIPES
and is serviced by its own chairlift which operates 7 days a week. We are
also home to some of the east coasts BEST rails. New additions to the park
include the monster rails from Coors Light Triple Challenge Pro Rail Jam
- a giant white high bar, a huge 35 foot flat box and a massive swing set
that has been dubbed EXPO.
These are just 3 of the many rails that
you can find in Badlands. In previous years, Blue's selection of HUGE boosters
brought some of Whistler's best park riders out to check out what the hype
was all about. A 70 foot Big Air jump was the biggest hit Blue Mountain
had ever seen and helped make the Big Air competition of the Coors Light
Triple Challenge an unbelievable success!
Named by SKIER (Snowboard Canada's free ski publication)
as a "Beast of the East”. Badlands was also named 8th Best Terrain Park
in Eastern North America by Free Skier Magazine.
Being Ontario’s largest ski Resort, Blue Mountain does
have a full time ski patrol. Blue Mountain ski patrol is the largest patrol
in Ontario and is made up of 200 people who come together to provide first
aid and rescue services for the ski resort.
They are volunteers and paid patrollers working throughout
the season from the opening run to the last in the evening to ensure the
safety of our guests.
Every patroller is trained in first aid and CPR and
undergoes on-hill training in areas such as lift evacuation, toboggan training
and accident site management. In addition to the training that all patrollers
must take, some have more advanced training ranging from oxygen therapy
to more advanced life saving techniques.
There is a lot to do in the Georgian Triangle! The accommodation
in Blue Mountain is only part of the draw. The activities are almost limitless.
Why not try Cross Country Skiing or Snow Shoeing? Beaver Valley
offers a variety of cross-country skiing on the Bruce trail and Georgian
Trail. There is also Duntroon Nordic Center.
For something a little more challenging try the Scenic
Caves Nordic Center Try trekking through the Scenic Caves or holding your
breath while gripping the handrails on Scenic Caves suspension foot bridge.
Towering 25 meters above a treed valley and 126 meters long, this bridge
really does give the feeling of being suspended in space!
Try Snowmobiling in the Georgian Triangle. Enjoy hundreds
of kilometers of Snowmobiling trails with spectacular scenery of the Niagara
Escarpment that stretches all the way to Collingwood, Wasaga Beach and Owen
Sound.

The choice is yours with both indoor and outdoor skating in the town of
Collingwood; Blue Mountain Chalets guests can Skate regardless of the weather.
